Unlocking Efficiency with Spec-Rite

This month, we’re shifting gears! Over the past few months, we’ve shared tips on how to maximize your Spec-Rite Online portal in the off-season. Now, let’s zero in on just how to do that—breaking it down step by step so you can turn insights into action.
Today’s focus: lifting the hood on efficiency. Let’s explore what drives it, understand the factors at play, and collaborate with your crew to share best practices. Here’s how to start optimizing your portal: 

Dashboard

  • Use the Usage/Distance Widget to check your Efficiency %—the key metric for understanding how much of your system’s runtime was spent painting.
  • View efficiency stats for all trucks or dive into individual performance.

QA Thresholds

  • Set quality targets for truck speed, material thickness, temperatures and bead application (e.g., lbs/gal, lbs/100 sq. ft.).
  • Adjust thresholds for all units via the Options page or customize them per unit in Equipment. Once configured, visualize results in Skyview.

Skyview

  • Switch to Performance View for a visual snapshot of quality by unit, job, or time period.
  • Red, yellow, and green indicators make it easy to pinpoint areas needing investigation. Select yellow or red sections for detailed insights in Job Details.

Reports

  • Use Custom Templates to compare quality metrics by truck, job, time period, or line type.
  • Review findings with your team to celebrate wins and identify areas for improvement.
